Job Summary:
Broadway Global Services is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in managing financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting. The ideal candidate will work from our office in New Delhi and play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. This role demands a motivated professional who excels in using industry-standard financial software, demonstrates strong analytical skills, and is committed to excellence in financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping:
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring timely and accurate entry of financial transactions.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, and follow-ups on outstanding accounts.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare periodic financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing insights to management.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.
- Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure adherence to established accounting principles, standards, and internal policies.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with statutory regulations and reporting requirements.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for enhancing accounting processes and controls to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Implement and support accounting software tools, offering training and guidance to team members on best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and support organizational financial strategies.
- Administrative Support:
- Prepare and process expense reports, vendor payments, and other financial documents.
- Maintain organized financial files and documentation to support financial audits and reviews.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed, including data entry, report generation, and correspondence with external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a corporate or professional services environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, standards, and best practices.
- Proficient in industry-standard accounting software such as Microsoft Excel, Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, and Oracle Financials.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and within a team.
