Cloud Engineer

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will be part of the Cloud Delivery unit, where you will be responsible for working extensively with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, Alibaba, GCP) to deliver top-tier solutions for our clients. Your role will involve engaging in essential projects, such as cloud migration, disaster recovery, and DevOps, as well as managing cloud operations. You will leverage your expertise in Terraform (or an equivalent tool) and other key cloud services, including Compute, Networking, Storage, and Security, to automate, deploy, and maintain cloud environments effectively.

You will be responsible for…

• Mastering at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, Alibaba, GCP) to design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure.
• Utilizing Terraform or equivalent tools for automating infrastructure setup and management, ensuring consistency and scalability.
• Handling cloud operations, including the management of Compute Services, Networking, Storage, and Security within cloud environments.
• Deploying cloud solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Managing data migration processes, ensuring seamless transition to the cloud.
• Optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and reliability.
• Monitoring and performance tuning to ensure optimal operation of cloud-based systems.
• Collaborating with developers and IT teams to support and enhance cloud-based applications and services.
• Implementing basic microservices architecture principles within cloud environments.
• Ensuring compliance and security across all cloud operations.

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us

• Proficiency in at least one of the major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Alibaba, GCP).
• Extensive experience with Terraform or similar IaaC tools.
• Basic understanding of scripting languages like PowerShell.
• Knowledge and experience in managing key cloud services such as Compute, Networking, Storage, and Database.
• Basic understanding of microservices architecture.
• Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• At least an associate-level certification in any of the four major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, focusing on cloud migration, disaster recovery, and DevOps.
