Lead DevOps Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW

The Lead DevOps Engineer is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and architectural oversight of automated solutions. This role focuses on driving technical excellence, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions within budget, and scaling the engineering organization through talent acquisition and mentorship.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and scale a high-performing technical team, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and the long-term professional development of engineers.
• Drive the strategic vision for SaaS technology developments and the adoption of cutting-edge infrastructure innovations.
  
• Architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines for global scale, ensuring robust automation, testing, and deployment standards.
  
• Design and implement complex Kubernetes deployments and cloud-native architectures.
  
• Identify and bridge operational gaps by developing sophisticated automated solutions to maximize system efficiency.
  
• Author and maintain advanced automation scripts using Python, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, and YAML.
  
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex distributed environments.
  
• Collaborate with senior management to align DevOps initiatives with broader business goals and budget requirements.
  

KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field.
  
• Over 12 years of professional experience in a DevOps or Infrastructure capacity.
  
• Mastery of Cloud concepts and high-availability distributed deployments.
  
• Expert-level knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and Argo CD.
  
• Deep proficiency in Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus Repository, and Harbor.
  
• Extensive experience with web technologies including Nginx, HA Proxy, and Apache.
  
• Strong command of data technologies such as Kafka, Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
  
• Familiarity with .NET framework and MVC development is a distinct advantage.
  
• Comprehensive experience managing both Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
  

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS

• Red Hat Linux Administration certification.
  
• CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) and CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist) are highly preferred.
  
• Azure Architect or AWS Certified Solutions Architect credentials.
