Senior Communication Engineer

Job Purpose

Design, test, and oversee the installation of telecommunications equipment and facilities, providing engineering solutions for wireless telephony, radio/satellite communications, and internet/broadband technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage installations of telecommunications switches, networks, or maintenance activities (onsite or remotely).
  2. Oversee training for installation, maintenance, and repair technicians.
  3. Ensure compliance with specifications and guidelines for all installations and maintenance tasks.
  4. Troubleshoot telecommunication malfunctions across voice, data, and video systems.
  5. Plan, design, install, and maintain communication networks supporting information systems.
  6. Collaborate with IT teams to align telecommunication system capabilities.
  7. Maintain efficient project documentation and prepare activity/progress reports.
  8. Support person-centered care initiatives and enhance patient experience through compassionate service.
  9. Complete additional tasks within scope of expertise.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Experience

  • 4+ years in telecommunications engineering (hospital experience preferred).

Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified or equivalent relevant certifications.
