Job Brief
We are looking for a meticulous and seasoned Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to fortify our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be a cornerstone in our mission to deliver flawless, secure, and high-performance cloud-based solutions, with a significant preference for expertise within the highly regulated healthcare domain. This role demands a professional who is adept at both designing comprehensive test strategies and hands-on execution to ensure our software meets the highest standards of quality and reliability.
You will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of designing and implementing test cases, identifying defects, defining corrective actions, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to embed quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Analysis & Test Planning: Thoroughly review and analyze complex system specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements deeply.
- Strategic Test Design: Collaborate with the development team to develop, document, and maintain effective test strategies, detailed test plans, and well-structured test cases (both manual and automated) that align with project goals.
- Test Execution & Analysis: Execute test cases meticulously—manual and automated—and analyze results to identify discrepancies, potential quality risks, and areas for improvement. Conduct thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Defect Management: Report bugs and errors clearly and concisely to development teams using a structured defect tracking system. Track defects from discovery through resolution and verification.
- Post-Release Validation: Conduct rigorous post-release / post-implementation testing to ensure stability and functionality in production environments.
- Quality Advocacy: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are upheld at every stage of the development process. Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.
- Process Adherence: Actively participate in Agile frameworks and ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) to ensure testing is integrated seamlessly into the development workflow.
Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory Experience:
- 7 to 10 years of proven experience in a software testing role, with a significant portion dedicated to the healthcare domain (e.g., EHR/EMR, HIPAA-compliant systems, medical devices, healthcare data interoperability).
- Hands-on experience testing cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of Agile frameworks and Scrum methodologies.
Technical & Professional Skills:
- Analytical mind with a strong problem-solving aptitude and a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with developers.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, QTest) and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium) is expected.
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) and performance testing concepts is a plus.
Education:
- A Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related engineering branch.
